Our Story

Since 1973, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro North (formerly Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham & Wakefield) has been a trusted place where young people across Stoneham, Wakefield, and Saugus can belong, learn, and grow. We provide safe and supportive after school and summer spaces for over 8,000 youth each year. As a proud affiliate of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we live by the mission of doing whatever it takes to help kids and teens build great futures.

What We Offer

Our programs include licensed child care, school-based enrichment, vibrant Teen Centers, and dynamic activities in STEM, music, art, e-sports, and athletics. These high-quality opportunities are made affordable through the generosity of our donors and partners. We serve families of every background, ensuring all youth feel welcomed and supported regardless of race, ability, gender identity, or family structure.

Our Impact

Nearly 3,000 youth visit our Clubs each year to experience stability, encouragement from caring staff, and fun programming that builds confidence and skills for school and life. We are open when families need us most: after school, on holidays, and throughout the summer.
